Summer 2010 In a Nutshell
I cannot even begin to try and catch this blog up. I am so far behind that I don't even think that it's possible, but I will try to briefly summarize this past summer.
First and most importantly, we found out that we are expecting another little one. The newest little Hough should arrive sometime in February. We have also found out that despite very specific orders from Hannah and Gianna to produce another sister, the baby is in fact another little boy. I have to admit that while I am not the least bit disappointed to have another little boy, I was very suprised! I was convinced that the baby was a girl. Thankfully we have a while to come up with a boy name, because I was totally focused on girl names. The baby is due to arrive in February and we will be anxiously awaiting to see his sweet little face.
Secondly we celebrated a few birthdays. Hannah has become our official seven year old and Isaac has been bumped up to the eight year old position. We had a family party and they were spoiled rotten as usual.
The third big thing was the first day of school. Dj and Coley are now Freshman at West Shamokin High School. Coley told me that she was glad to finally have a "name" instead of just 7th or 8th grader. Coley unfortunately was not at home for the first day of school. She was in the hospital at the time and it was difficult for all of us to have her miss out on this milestone. So in case you were wondering, I did not just forget about her and not post her picture too. Nothing would have made me happier.
Isaac, the second grader!!
Hannah first day of all day school...First grade here she comes!!
Finally the day that she had been waiting for forever...Gianna's first day of school!
Kindergarten is exhausting!!!
Noah didn't want to be left out of the picture taking, so here he is at the back to shcool tree.
Aiden was just happy throwing leaves and rocks into the air.
The fourth thing that has been occupying our time is soccer. Hannah is playing on the U8 team Isaac is on the U10 team. And DJ and Jacob are playing on the Junior High team at WSHS.
There you have it. Short and sweet. Our summer and early fall in a very tiny nutshell. Now that I am basically "caught up" hopefully I will be much better at keeping things caught up!
